Stamp Auction 427 is now available online
Over the past six months, more than 140 consignors have once again chosen Rietdijk to present their collections to the market. We have divided these consignments into more than 2,300 lots, for which more than 40,000 photographs have been taken. These photographs are included in the various online catalogues (on RietdijkLive, Rietdijk Veilingen on Philasearch and StampAuctionNetwork).

If you require any further information about the lots, please do not hesitate to contact us:

Auction 427
Auction 427 offers a highly varied selection, with something for everyone. The auction starts on 2 November.

Auction layout
The first session includes an attractive section of small circular postmarks from post offices, many in very fine quality. In addition, there is an extensive postal history section with excellent selections including pre-philatelic material and First Issue covers, later cancellations, First and Second World War material, as well as an interesting section of foreign material. We conclude the first session with a small section of picture postcards. Session two is a very special one. From Australia we received an extensive collection of cancellations and a major collection of the Netherlands, which will be offered in and alongside Auctions 427 and 428 (the latter in spring 2027).

Special treat!
Semicircular cancellations have been included in a separate section of Auction 427: The Melbourne Collection. This collection is therefore presented separately — an opportunity we are pleased to offer to owners of special collections. Because of the large number of boxes, we have changed the usual order of the auction sessions, as it would not be practical to auction these immediately afterwards on the same day. Our familiar box-lot session, normally Session 2, will therefore be Session 5 in this auction.

Volume lots
More than 500 large and adventurous lots — many of which have also been extensively photographed — will be offered in the final session on 3 November, starting at 14:00. We strongly recommend making use of one of the viewing days to inspect these lots. Given the large number of lots, this session is expected to take a considerable amount of time. On 3 November we start with the individual lots of the Netherlands and Overseas Territories. This is followed by an exciting selection of albums and collections of the Netherlands and the Overseas Territories, ranging from classic material to modern material with substantial face value. This will conclude the session. Consequently, the foreign lots in this auction will be offered on Monday afternoon, 2 November. We particularly draw your attention to the very extensive collections of Great Britain and Egypt, which will be offered in several substantial sections.
