Our auctions are held in the “Nobelzaal” of the Venduehuis der Notarissen, a five-minute walk from our office. This room can accommodate more than 100 bidders and interested parties and is equipped with all modern conveniences.
Stamp auctions usually last three days. Every day of the auction there is a session in the afternoon as well as in the evening, in which between 500 and 1000 lots are put up for auction. The coin auctions are usually settled in one day during an afternoon and an evening session with approximately 1500 lots in 2 sittings.
The starting times of the sessions may vary depending on the number of lots to be auctioned. You can find all this in the corresponding auction catalog of the relevant auction. The house hall is located on the first floor of the Venduehuis complex, which can only be reached by stairs (no elevator). The entrance is not through the main entrance of the Venduehuis, but directly on the street side. Of course, everything is neatly indicated with signage on auction days. The lots will all remain at our office at Noordeinde.

Speed of the auction (number of lots per hour)
The auction catalog lists all starting times of the sessions and what is covered therein. How long a session will last and when it will be the turn of the lots of your interest depends on the course of the auction. The auction will take place at a rate of approximately 150 to 250 lots per hour. Sometimes less, sometimes more! That is why we advise our customers, who bid themselves, to always use a safe margin to be present on time. Better to be a hundred lot numbers early than one too late!
