John has been active in the stamp and coin industry since 1980. In his youth in a stamp and coin shop in Zutphen and Breda, present at (international) fairs in the service of a stamp trade with several branches in the Netherlands. After completing his studies in library science at the UvA, he worked full-time at Rietdijk auctions. The first years as a realtor and now many years as an internal and external appraiser of both stamps as coins. John collects stamps from Scandinav (Iceland and Greenland), Posthistory of Zutphen, and Dutch tokens.

Stamps and coins are poured into René with the proverbial spoon. He comes from a well-known collector’s family where Grandpa had a well-known stamp shop in the center of Leiden for many years, where the entire family was involved. René has a very extensive knowledge of the postage stamps of the Netherlands and Overseas Rijksdelen and that is one of the reasons that he became a fully-fledged judge of the N.V.P.H. at a very young age. has become. André acquired his knowledge at the oldest stamp trade in the Netherlands. For many years he managed the physical store in the Passage in The Hague. André has been a full-time employee in the field of allocating stamps at Rietdijk for several years now. It is his job to manage the influx of material in the right direction. So overview and orderly work are his keywords. André collects stamps from non-regular areas and Dutch Ducats.

Thomas has an extensive interest in history and art. This has led to a study in art history, which is very useful when describing and identifying coins, paper money, awards and related matters. Whether it concerns ancient Roman or modern Euros, everything is considered and weighed. One of Thomas’ hobbies is photography. As a result, the Rietdijk auctions have received a huge boost in recent years with regard to the many images of lots. Thomas collects old cameras.

Millions of stamps and tens of thousands of entries have come under the eyes of this highly experienced allotment agent. Especially for old and adventurous world collections with material from before 1940, we can wake up Arie proverbially at night. Between 1980 and 2019 he was employed full-time at Rietdijk auctions. Since 2020, he has been on call for special and special entries, making him an indispensable force within Rietdijk. In case of doubt, the motto is "ask Arie". Arie has a special predilection for everything that has to do with the island of Texel. Arie collects knowledge.
